Looking to buy a barrel,Is there anyway to tell what size shank I have without pulling my existing barrel?

The foolproof way is to measure the length of the barrel nut! 7/8 is small shank 5/8 is large shank

Or better yet, post up the model and caliber of the rifle and there are about 52,000,000 people on here that could tell you what it is.
