I would say no - especially on a takedown frame. Would think you would get case stretch and bolt setback issues pretty quick.
I've got a nice little Savage 99 Seriel #3587xx in 250-3000, it's not collectable , D&T'd, and stock shortenned. It's a Take Down Mod. The barrel is toast, it wasn't cared for. I'm thinking about rebarreling it into a solid frame 22-250 carbine for coyote hunting. Is that age reciever strong enough for factory 22-250 loads.

It shoots 75gr into 2-3", 87's around 4" and 100gr bullets in 6-8". My other 99's do alot better.

May be wear / slop in the threads. Takedowns usually aren't as accurate as solid frames.
