Thread: barrrel shank?

    barrrel shank?


    did search on shank and found a post that said 5/8 barrel nut is large shank and 7/8 is standard but if you have a g prefix its probaly a lg, mine is a g but has a 7/8 nut so is a standard? model 10 .308

    The "G" prefix has nothing to do with the barrel shank. The length of the nut will tell all.

    Yes I read the "G" prefix thing too & put too much faith into it when it said it'll probably be a large shank. The barrel went back to Sinman for him to turn it down to a small shank. All is well now. Hopefully someday I'll even get around to shooting it.
