    Target Action vs SA

Has anyone seen a big difference between a regular short action and a target action. I have three Tgt actions ( two pistols and a spare) and looking at building another rifle. I understand that a SA has less metal and could possibly flex but with the lighter cartridges ( 223, 6BR, 6 x 47 Lapua type's) would it be noticable. Tgt Actions are a pain to find and a regular SA donor would be easy. Stock screw spacing should be the same for any new action. Also cost difference could be enough to cover 2/3rd's of a new barrel. Any thoughts??? ???

No difference what so ever, a action only has to bee so rigid, and anthing more is overkill, and the standard Savage repeater action is rigid enough.
If you do a search you will find the topic has been covered a few times in the past.
