    large shank


    if i had a barrel that was a large shank what would i need for an action?

    There are some blue actions, repeater and single shots, that are large shank actions....some, but not a lot. Most plentiful action is the LRPV or variants of that action, that use large shank barrels.

    I also think that all the Target Actions are large shank.

    When Savage discontinued the ML guns, and when to the MLII guns, they had a bunch of left over large shank actions, so they turned them into a run of 223 guns. The RUM actions are large shank. Savage is known to throw a curve every now and then, but 90% of the standard actions are standard shank. Target actions are all large shank.
