seeking info on savage nra match 22 rifle(no model number) I believe to be 1923 manufacture.
would really like disassembly instruction for the bolt. The rifle doesn’t fire consistently. Almost seems like the firing pin is gummed up. Have soaked in Ed’s red for 2 days and brake cleaner for 2 days. Is firing more consistently after the brake cleaner soak but still 1 misfire in every 5 or 6 shots. Tried several brands of ammo. Today used federal for 6 shots with 1 misfire. Tried some Magtech bulk and it would not fire them at all.
is this a head space issue or gummy bolt or perhaps both of those?
any help would be appreciated.
this model has the single firing pin.
