What are you guys getting in the way of fired case neck diameters from savage factory varmint barrels?
and what for a loaded round?
Ive got a takeoff barrel and wondering how the factory chambers are.

The chambers on the Savage barrels are pretty good, but not as good as a chamber cut by a good smith using sharp, quality reamers.
The barrel should shoot well. If you want precision target grade, you will need to get a premium barrel done by a good smith.
I use www.savagegunsmithing.com. The smith, Scott Null is a true Master Riflesmith and guarentee's any bolt gun that he does an accuracy job on and re barrels will shoot 5 shots into .3" or better @ 100 using his loads. Most shoot better.
I don't know of any other smith who guarentee's that small of a group from 5 rounds.
