Bedding material in this section of the stock?

So got my new boyds stock in the mail, everything looks good. Noticed in the barrel channel its milled out deep (assuming to save weight). Posting a pic, not my pic but one I found on the net as I'm not home right now.

Should I fill some of that space with bedding material to strengthen it? Just thinking longevity down the road and to help with any possible cracking. It's fairly thin in that area. Anyone do this? Wasn't gonna bed the whole channel, just figured maybe strengthen it up some. Yea, or nay?

Well my internet is going slow at work so it's not letting me upload, basically the space in the barrel channel that's milled out (where the nut for the sling stud is)

For weight savings. Do you need more weight?
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Considering the rifle will be for my boys and wife a little extra wouldn't hurt with recoil, it is lighter than I expected (but not too light)

Can be beneficial at the Bench. Could add to discomfort if carried in the field.
