    110 Switchback Magazine

Just got a 110 Switchback in .308 WIN. Looking at the detachable 4 round magazine, it is different than the magazines listed in Savage's store. No, the manual isn't specific as to the part #, and Savage hasn't answered email inquiry. Can anyone with this model confirm the magazine model number? And if there's a 10 round that fits, what that model number is? (I'll post a specific pic once I get to that permission level...) Thanks!

There is this one, but I don’t know off hand if it fits the switchback. Savage has a couple different factory designed magazines. But you should be able to tell from the mount ting bracket. If yours is different, than no, there is no other factory 10rd.

I've seen that one, which is part of my wondering. Unfortunately, even on the Savage site there isn't a magazine that appears to match the mounting retaining clip design for the switchback. The 5232 model is close, but not the same. I may have to buy a couple different ones from places that take returns and do the trial and error.

Yeah, you have the newer style. No 10rd for these, only the 4rd. The part # is 55232.

That's my guess too, even with the Savage shop's photo of the 55232 not even matching. Thanks.

It’s just a new Axis style as the clips on the old one (as pictured on the Savage website), kept breaking. If you order from Savage, you will get the new style, just like the one you have.

There is an aftermarket company that makes 10rd Axis style mags, but I believe they are quite expensive.

Now that makes sense. Thanks again.

Good deal! Do a write up on it after you’ve used it, for other’s edification.

No problem. Just need some free time and reasonable weather here to get out on the range... Haven't shot the rifle yet at all!
