I would be a buyer for at least one at $400.
My fear is it will be around $600-$800 each. I'm not a buyer at that price.

I'm just not sure of the market. Seems to me that the interest in Contenders has been shrinking. Thompson Center along with S&W giving it up says a lot. Now SSK? That is if it ever happens.
The market is small and it hurts itself when the customer can swap stuff around vs buying a new one.
I imagine it will be short lived even if they do produce them.
nosler on the other hand has made more bolt action pistols than they thought they would. But that’s a whole different class of firearm.
tc stuff in its day was pretty cheap compared to other hunting type handguns. I think those days are over….it won’t survive long at a higher price.
Hope its not over $400. You can get the CVA pistol for that or less. The contender has been more expensive than the CVA though and a good bit more recently. My two new grip sets are patiently waiting as nothing can be done but wait. $350 sounds better for a bare frame. Seems like nothing is reasonable anymore though and may get worse before it gets better.
Hopefully they will be priced below the insane current used market on TC frames. And help drive those prices down.
The question is whether there is enough market for them to be able to keep the price down.
maybe with a small manufacturer, that doesn’t have the pressure to constantly maximize profits & shareholder value, they can sell them at reasonable price and still be profitable. SSK isn’t doing this as a hobby.
