should be the original easy to find barrel shank size and nut.
I bought a 110 action (the letter E is before the serial #) no barrel nut came with it nor any thing else. Going to build a 280 AI with it. so, for starts, I need the barrel nut and dimensions for the barrel.

It should be, however, you want to verify absolutely if it’s a Small or Large shank. Easiest way is to use a calipers & measure the inside of the threaded portion of the Action. Small Shank is 1.055”x20. Large Shank is 1.120”x20. So your calipers should be close to 1.055” for Small, or 1.120” for Large.
That’s all you need to know. From there, you can order any barrel & nut you like with the correct Shank size.
Look at the Savage barrel nut pictures here, difference between large and small shank is clear - https://northlandshooterssupply.com/parts-and-tools/
e was made 1982 to 1989
large shanks came out in 2002

Ahh.. yes, glanced over that. Thank Avenger. Yeah, the Large Shank Actions were made a short time after the inception of the WSM cartridges. So you have a Small or Standard Shank, as it is also called. So, here are your options.
Factory Savage Barrel Nut. (Not recommend)

These use flats for a standard wrench.

This is the nicest Barrel nut made, but oh so expensive, & uses a proprietary wrench which must also be purchased through them.

This one is very close to the Ultimatum barrel nut. I use this one & love it.

Just what I needed to know. Thanks
Thanks for the answer. Saves me time. Now I have to look at stocks
if you have time Dave, format it as an article and submit it to Jim!

Unfortunately, I can’t format anything anymore. Everything I do is on my Iphone from now on. Lap top bit the dust, so the only computer in the house is my wife’s work laptop. And since I have no need, I wasn’t planning on buying another. So, unfortunately I can’t send things in any kind of special format. Can only email things as they are.
But no biggie. I don’t mind doing this again in the future if someone else asks a similar question or would just like to know.
Also, if anyone else can or has the correct formatting ability, sending things as jpegs or whatever.. (I’m not really all that PC literate, LOL!), by all means, please do so. I think it would be great to show people all the options these days.
