Welcome Mike! And Merry Christmas to ya!
Hello, I migrated here from Specialty Pistols. So great you welcomed us to your site, thank you! I'm 71 years old and an NRA Patron Life Member. My first gun was a savage single shot .410. I shot my first deer on my 16th. birthday with a Savage 340 in .222 Rem. many years ago. That Savage and a Lee Loader along with a side mounted Tasco 4X scope later became my Groundhog outfit and put the bug in me for life. Over the years I slowly migrated to Handgun collecting and hunting which is my passion to this day. Several trips to Alaska for Brown Bear and many deer hunts later, varmint hunting / shooting still is at the top of my list. Thank you again for hosting us in your site.

Good to see you here Mike.
I started my metalic centerfire venture with a 340 in 222 for Christmas in 1965. Next was the Weaver side mount and a Herter's 6x scope. The Lee loader followed shortly after that. When I got home from the army my brother in law and I were shooting Model 19 smiths. One Sunday as was customary we went to her folks for Sunday dinner and my brother in law said after dinner I have something to show you. After dinner he pulled out this club looking thing of a single shot pistol with a 30 Herrett barrel on it. Since the farm was in rural Iowa we could go outside and cut loose. All I could say is I gotta get me one of these.
I'm hoping Doc shows up here.
