    XLR chassis for the axis???

so it seems my only two options are the oryx or the mdt lss (not the xl).
these two bother me. The oryx is the weight i don't want, the lss i fear will not be comfortable to shoulder with practically no handguard

that said i was searching google images and came across these photos. Yet I see nothing to fit the axis on XLR website.

Would love this chassis for my 7.62x39 build.

your settings on here will not allow me to PM you.

is it for long, or short action magazine? How much?

And would you happen to know if this is just a discontinued chassis. Its odd that its not listed on their site, or anywhere else for that matter.

short action . I believe it was discontinued they no longer offer the access recoil screw spacing on the website at least I can’t find it. I’ll check my settings PMs

I like my two lss chassis’s. Comfort is mostly dependent on the buttstock.

the major turn off to me, is the extreme lack of a handguard on that chassis system.

slots mean nothing on the lss chassis. Unless you use those slots to somehow extend the handguard. Its simply to short. The lss-xl would be ok, but not available for the axis.

I have a few xl’s to I don’t see much of a difference in functionality. I have bipods on all of them though you could easily use the slots to extend the forearm if you have a mill.

i suppose we like different set ups, and have different ways of shooting a rifle. Personally i like to have the bipod as far forward as practical while sill being in reach when prone. I also like having room for my off and in various positions. Anyway, due to the moron in office killing the cheap 7.62x39 ammo. Ill be selling the barrel, bolt head, magazine, and boyds provarmin stock off this build soon. Going to just rebarrel to a .308 and drop it in an oryx. If i gotta pay 308 price for ammo, the x39 is obsolete to me. Might as well shoot 308. So my new plan is to build basically a "mini me" version of my 300 PRC pictured below. At least in .308 i will not have to machine out the magwell to fit the 3.85 magazine.

What do you want for the barrel and everything? I stocked up before Obama was in office.

what i have into the build.
Mcgowan barrel 7.62x39 with proper bore $450
savage 7.62x39 COMPLETE bolt head $50
Boyds pro varmint 14-1/4" LOP with Pachmayr 1" recoil pad $280
Savage 7.62x39 magazine with axis floorplate swapped onto it $50

so keeping in mind that i have $830 invested in these parts. What would you offer for them?
