I hadn't checked the price of rimfire ammo for a long time but I certainly was shocked. I can reload the 223s for less than it costs for 22 Winchester magnum rimfire. That is just run-of-the-mill stuff too, very high quality is a LOT higher than reloading the 223s.

I only buy from Cabelas and Wallmart .Don't know what prices you are seeing but 22WMR cost $11.83(50 rounds) and $25.93(150rounds) for 45GR at wallmart. In my area, people don't buy 22WMR, 17HMR and 17 WSM much.
