Firing Spring in wrong position - blocking bolt from closing

Bought a Savage Axis 22/250 today. Went to install the bolt, but the firing pin/spring was in the wrong position (up). Of course, it is now blocking the bolt from going in completly. How do I get it back into poisition?

Here's a picture of what I am referring to. http://www.rangernetworking.com/gun.htmhttp://www.rangernetworking.com/gun.htm

    Thanks.

You should be able to take an adjustable wrench to engage & rotate the cocking piece into battery.

The Edge/Axis doesn't have a heavy spring like a Savage, you should be able to cock it with your thumb.

+1 You will need to manually reset it.
