Is there someone that makes an ultra lite stock for a Savage rifle?
Manners and McMillan make ultralight Savage stocks. Be prepared to pay more for a stock than you did for the gun. Both companies charge about $750 or more depending on upgrades.
Alternatively, if you're a skilled wood worker or just have the time to go slowly, you can buy a wood stock and remove material until the stock is your desired weight. Then seal the stock or paint it.
