Convert 204r internal mag to 350 Legend?

Considering a barrel swap on a model 11 in 204 ruger to a 350 Legend.

The only thing that concerns me is that its an internal mag, not sure how the 350 will feed.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I have been interested in the mag for a conversion also. Thanks for asking the question.

On the one I had in for review last year, Savage was just using a standard .223 mag box and it didn't feed for chit. Since the .350 Legend body diameter is slightly larger than the .223's, it results in the top round sitting a little lower in the mag and often allowed the bolt to go right over it without catching the rim to chamber it. Another issue I had was with the last two or three rounds in the magazine "nose diving" into the mag for some reason causing a jam.

I have a couple of the .204’s. I was thinking of converting one to something else. I will add the 350 legend to the list of contenders..

    Thanks for the reply.

Did you try opening up the feed lips, using a different sprung/follower or modying the mag some other way?

No I didn't as it was a loaner/review gun that I had no plans on keeping.

Makes sense, thanks for the heads up.

Think I may give it a whirl, I have one in an AR and think it might be a fun project.
