DIY bipod extension on the cheap!

Just figured I'd share a lil project I did. I was interested in a bipod extension but they are very pricey. Made this one out of inexpensive parts from Ebay.

    Parts used:

Looks like a nice job you did there.
But id have to be told what the purpose for it is?
Looks to me like it might affect shooting up or down angles pretty seriously.

Well, like with any tripod (bipod x shooter) the wider the more stable. I have a slight shake and this helps with that. As far as affecting up and down, sure, a little, but not enough that it is dramatic. If anything its just an extra squeeze on the rear bag

Looks to me that it would cause dramatic vertical stringing.

I made a spigot for my HS3 stock some time ago. it's out about
5" and the GGG bipod goose necks out a little farther. I do have
another 3" that I can slide the spigot out further. I had a good
open channel in my stock that worked. if I get my Oryx chassis
I'll do about the same but have to mill in a groove.....As for what
Sharpshooter mentioned about stringing !! Yeah, in my case with
a 24" barrel it's not bad out to 500. If I go full extension, stringing
    becomes more evident.

    Charge5 !! hmmmmnn I was a 11C10 81 Mortar. Just sounds familiar !!
