I recently picked up a target 1919 from about the same time period, judging by the narrow ejection port. The only things I would recommend are use standard velocity ammo and use the magazine button to push the magazine forward against the spring pressure when installing/removing. It seems many of these mags have had the fin on the back worn down by jerking them out. That will make them slip when stripping a round off, and those little darlings are expensive to replace.
