I saw one for $99 at Walmart are they just as accurate out-of-the-box as a Ruger 10/22. And if so we'll high dollar ammo tighten up the groups looking to get one just for planking

The 64's work fine and they have their fans, but if you're looking to buy I'd steer you towards the 10/22. Yes it's a more expensive out of the gate, but they're a LOT better design and hold their value a lot better. Then there's also the fact there's 50x more aftermarket support for the 10/22 should you ever decide to pimp it out.

I've owned about 15 10/22 sold the last one the other day for 300 just looking for something to plink hold about a an inch at 50 yards just something to shoot steel at 25 yards with swinging plates are they good for that
