    Congrats on your first deer.
My brother often tells about his 240 yard bang flop head shot behind the ear with a Savage Edge in .270. Then he comes clean and tells he was aiming behind the shoulder LOL
A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.

Took down my first Savage deer today, 104lb doe in Laredo. Dead-on spinal at 218yds. I think I'm going to switch over to it for the rest of the season.

Now that right there is one exceptional buck regardless as to where you hunt.
Congratulations on that one for sure.
This will be but the second time in 73 hunting seasons i will not be hunting.
I have never hunted nor have i even fired a gun in Florida since moving here 21 years ago.
Im just spoiled with what we have at our camp in Pa.
But its a 1200 mile 2 day drive each way, and with whats going on with this virus and the exposure risks id be taking i think it best i stay right here and go fishing instead.

Congratulations to all on the harvests. I'm currently in planning for the Bama rut in January. Thanks to my cousins hard work the green fields look better than they have in years. Hopefully one of the boys or the grands will score their first nice outside the ears 8 or better.
