    hey guys i would measure mine but it looks like an aftermarket one on mine. these are great rifles and were way ahead of everyone else at the time. first bolt action short action.
    mine shoots 100gr sierra MK BTHP into 1/2" at 100 yds and this is at 3050 FPS from 36.5 grs of varget which by the way, is a great powder for the 250 savage. i worked up to 42grs of it under a hornady 75 VMAX gives 3478 FPS avg!! all this and no signs of pressure at all. found that reloader 17 at 40grs under a 110gr berger out of a savage 10 i put together at 3050 FPS. sierra 90 BTHP are my deer load at 3080 FPS.

    You could have the stock duplicated, using the old stock as a pattern.https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...le&FORM=HDRSC2

    Find one that's close to the original; and do the final shaping!
