    Opening day coyote

Whitetail season opened up here in PA on Monday. I had this coyote run by at 80yds(ish). Unfortunately for him he stopped to take a poo right where I could see him. The (Savage) .25-06 put a pretty good hole in him and yet he still managed to run a short distance and died under a uprooted tree. They are tough buggers. He weighed in at 50lbs.

Actually I did. I was hesitating trying to decide if I wanted to crank up the magnification and he started standing up (finished the business) so I shot him then before he took off.
