I've shot deer with just about all of the above, 243, 260, 6.5 creed, 7-08, and all make bang flops. My favorite is still my 25-06, never have I even had to look for a deer all have been drt and well over 30 deer anywhere from 150-225 pound dressed. All about bullet placement and how comfortable she is with the rifle
