I wouldn't bother using a ultrasonic cleaner for that. There's just too much involved with ultrasonic cleaning, the prep and waste disposal etc. My 22s just get wiped down and lubed with Remington dry lube.
Someone donated a ultrasonic cleaner to our Boy Scout Council for cleaning our Mark I's. Does anyone know if Savage recommends using ultrasonic cleaners,
and what type of solution to use. Maybe for the bolt and trigger assembly ?

There are two cleaning solutions available, one is for brass, another for gun parts. Make sure you don't get them confused due to the different chemical make up of the 2 solutions.
What JPXX said. and don't run them too long.
