I am a big fan of the game kings, I use them in my 308 and 300 WM, they are very accurate and always perform well when they hit meat, I have had the 150 grain ones expand clear down to where the boat tail starts ans still be in one piece.

Wife took her first deer today at 200 yards with a .243 shooting a 100grn Sierra Game King over 35.5grns of IMR4064. Bullet entered just above/behind the shoulder and exited a little higher on the opposite side. Doe dropped like a rock.

Another good bullet for your 243 is the Game King 85 gr. hollow point. Don't let the hollow point part throw you. Sierra will tell you that they are tougher than the Game King soft points.

Like the gamekings myself. I shoot a 180gr. Gameking SBT in my 30-06 and the accuracy has been great and expansion reliable.

I used the 85 grain BTHP in my 243 and it always put a dear down (DRT) with one shot.

I agree on the 85gr HP gamekings. I loaded some up for a friend of mine and he has shot 4 deer now with this bullet powered by 38grs of XMR 4064. He says they must have TNT in them cuz all 4 have dropped instantly.
Just don't use them in a 6mm284, they start splashing and blowing stuff up.Originally Posted by BrentWin

Killed a lot of deer in Arizona over many years using that bullet with H4831 in a heavy barrel Ruger 77.Another good bullet for your 243 is the Game King 85 gr. hollow point
All of them just dropped dead!
