Welcome aboard
Hey everyone glad to be part fo the group. I've had a couple Savage Axis's but haven't done anything with them other than launch some lead down range. Well I decided to build a budget long range hunting/precision rifle. My goals: 1,000 yard plenty capable rifle with as close to moa or sub moa as possible but have a shorter barrel and not weigh a ton as Id like to be able to easily carry it around to hunt with still.
So I came here to read up and share how I'm doing. Recently picked up a Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor. Got a great deal on the rifle with the holiday rebate and also saved a bunch on my glass. Did my own trigger job which made a huge difference. Continue to round everything up and we'll see what happens.
Thanks for listening and I'll keep you all posted how I'm doing.
