    The best way to lighten the 3 screw trigger is to replace the heavy factory L shaped trigger spring with a smaller diameter wire. I used buzz bait wire to do mine. A $0.99 WalMart buzz bait will give two suitable wires. Just bend them like the factory wire.

    BTW, not all early 110s had the 3 screw trigger. In the last years before adopting the AccuTrigger Savage only used the 3-screw trigger on varmint and tactical rifles. To tell if it is a 3-screw trigger look at the sear engagement. If there is a screw at the bottom of the sear shelf, then it is definitely a 3-screw trigger. If it does not have the sear screw, the wire replacement will make the trigger lighter, but won't eliminate trigger creep.
