New model Savage 10 PC R5 barrel

I bought a new rifle today it is a model 10 PC with a R5 barrel. The barrel is fluted and threaded for a muzzle break. It has th lower bolt release and cocking indicator on the bolt. The bolt also seemed extremely smooth. Of course it comes in the accu stock which I hapen to like. I will see how it shoots this weekend.

It's fluted and threaded. I haven't found them listed at all on savages web site. The parts # is 19057. My looks just like the 10PC with the ACU camo accustock but it has knarled thread protector on the end of the barrel for either a brake or a suppressor.

Well so far I've put about 35 round threw my rifle and evrything but 10rds of mil junk for zero it has been MOA or sub moa. It really seems to like 155gr AMAX's with Varget. I was going to take pics but I ran off without the target. The best groups were .35" and it was loaded with a .020" jump with 44.5gr of Varget. Now I'm going to start working on some 175gr SMK.

The rifle handles well and has great balance. After this last trip I cleaned the barrel with foaming bore cleaner and luckily the barrel doesn't seem to be a copper catcher the way most Savage barrels are.

The 10pc is a model 10 precision carbine in .223 or .308. It's in the L.E. section at savage arms. blue

It is a distributor exclusive from AcuSport--Savage saw how well the 5R Mil Spec Remington sold, and joined the party.
