That seller is P.O.'d right now!!!
Saw this Friday and watched it through the weekend right up until the auction ended. Was hard resisting the temptation to put a bid on it myself as the seller is just 40 miles up the road, but I managed to keep my finger off the bid button. Still can't believe it went for just $500 considering less than 470 of the 110 PE's were ever built.
We told you so...
I doubt it as it's a pawn shop and they started the bidding at $500. I would imagine that price was either their break-even point or had a small profit already built into it. I've seen a few listed over the years that had the starting big or a Buy It Now price in the $1,000-1,200 range and most never got any bids or never came anywhere close to the buy it price. I got $1,400 out of the LH one I had several years ago, but for every lefty they made they made 10 in RH.

Why do I miss these auctions? Probably because I don't look for them. Would love to have gotten that one.
More than once I've found out a good ones slipped by by only checking the the penny auctions.
He would have been much better off starting at $.01
They seem to get a good bit of exposure and may lag at first but almost always seem to close well.

Yeah, that would have cost someone a lot more had I seen it!
