I've come up with Warne 2 piece M902/902 mounts and Burris Zee rings as the best bang for the buck. If anybody cares to chime I'd really appreciate it. I'll be mounting either a Redfield 3-9x40 or a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40.
Hi all, new to the forum. I just aquired a Model 14 American Classic in .308 and I'm having a tough time deciding on which mounts and rings to get for it.
I'm somewhat partial to Warne's rings - I have QD's on a Redfield 2-7x33 and on a Millet DMS-1 on a Mini-14.
Any specific mounts/rings recommendations for the short action Savage Model 14 would be greatly appreciated as I'm somewhat overwhelmed by the number of choices.

Those bases are correct, but do yourself a favor a get the Burris Signature Zee rings(ones with the plastic inserts). They are top of the line and will not mar your scope.

Great, that's what I ordered, I just forgot to say they were the Signature Zees in my post. Thank you.Originally Posted by pdog06
