Haven't been on the board in a while and actually I have not shot all summer, but getting the bug to shoot my 6BR again. it now has a Sightron 8x32x56, thinking about trading it in at a local dealer for the 10x50x60 SIII scope, he does not have one in stock, so I never looked thru one. he has to get it in, but the question I have is there a noticeable difference what shooting targets like at 2-300yds can you detect the bullet holes better, is it a wise move. anyone in the local area that has one, I would like to look thru one before I buy one.
I am from Wilkes Barre PA area.
thanks
Chet

you should notice on good days, remember you will also amplify mirage on bad days. I forgot how high mike was able to go on his PD safari in WY. thinking he said 20x

Been using a 12-42 NF BR model for a year and find that I rarely use the maximum 42x at 200 yds.
My best shooting is in the 30-35x range even in good conditions. 42x seems to be very tricky for such close work (mirage, guy on next bench shooting magnums, etc). High (42x) magnification good to have in case but I don't use it much.
