Thread: Will a Model 11 stock work with a .223 Hog Hunter and this factory DBM? Cannot find an answer. :(

    It looks like the stock accepts the Axis style magazines with the tab on the front of the magazine and is not meant to have the bottom metal. The DBM setup you show would not drop into that stock without some modifications to the stock. The rear screw hole on the bottom metal fits between the stock and trigger guard. If you look at the stock, the space between the magazine opening and the trigger guard would have to be relieved, at a minimum. I would also think that the stock at the front of the bottom metal would need some hand fitting.

    First picture is the bottom metal that you have, second picture is the stock that you have.

    I will just pass on the stock offered to me and pick up a correct stock.

    Any recommendations on what stock can use my factory DBM and fit my .223 Hog Hunter.[

    All these different Savage designs have really confused me.
