Does anyone know if the new AR-style rifles use the same barrel shank/threading? i.e. can you swap a standard shank barrel for an AR barrel?

The standard tenon on an AR-15 is .812-16 tpi x .620.
"As long as there's lead in the air....there's still hope.."
Makes sense. Thanks.
What do you mean by "new style"? Didn't know any thing changed.
"An armed society is a polite society"
"...shall not be infringed" What's the confusion?
Nothing new about AR's. What's new is that Savage is making them.
I was selling a 10/110 barrel and the buyer wanted to know if it would fit the DPMS. At first I did not know what he was talking about, then it dawned on me... Savage's AR-15's that just came out.
To answer his question, "No, it won't work on the AR."
Not to mention it does not have a gas port or a fit for a gas block.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Now I am feelin downright foolish!
The guy asked if it would fit, not whether it would work.
