Howdy From The Texas Gulf Coast

Just purchased a Savage 10 FCP-SR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Interested in getting into doing some informal long distance shooting. I have been shooting most of my life. No military or LE experience. Not a hunter. Primarily a handgun shooter, I have done some rifle shooting with hunting type rifles. Now retired, I have been bitten by a new bug!!

    Thanks for the welcome!!
About got it all together. Pick up an SWFA 10x42 SS and rings. Should have some ammo today. (Man that stuff is pricey!!). Planning on setting up to reload for it.
Maybe get it out to the range next week. It is pouring rain here at he moment.

To be more exact, it is Hornady American Gunner. 140 grain boat tail hollow point. $49.99 for 50 rounds. I figured this was good enough to get me started. After I get some experience I will set up to reload the brass and try some different bullets and loads.

I am just getting started with this. It's a whole new experience!!
