Hi, my name is Matt and I like shooting *Hi Matt!*

No, really. I'm from Rochester, I just got my first Savage Axis XP (308) this year after years of wanting to get into long shooting. Going hunting w/ my buddy to Colorado last October kinda sealed that want for me. Didn't get anything, but we had a great time and I found out I wanted to go hunting.

I'm into plinking, hunting, bench racing, and upgrading. I own a few pistols, am building my first AR (although compliant ), and found your site while searching for upgrades for the rifle. Got a great deal for the rifle ($250 after rebate), so I'm saving for a Vortex scope. Still deciding on 4-12x40 AO or 4-12x50 AO. I like buying more than I need right off the bat, and they're an agreeable price compared to my budget and the gun. I already "fixed" the trigger with the screw and spring.

Hope to learn more about the rifle and all you. I'm new to long shooting, so I usually ask a lot of questions (if I can't find them in searches).
