93R17 and BSA Sweet17 Scope

Hello all, I have a 93R17...picked it up as a combo deal at Dicks with a functional, made in China Bushnell scope. Seems I have a need to fidget around with all my toys, so I jumped on another sale at Dicks and brought home the above mentioned scope. Today I just attempted (and failed) to mount the new scope with Weaver four bolt medium height one inch base/rings.

Has anyone mounted this specific scope to this specific firearm satisfactorily? If so, could you kindly tell me which base/ring you used?

I have a 3 x13x40 on mine and have rifleman high wings and the factory base . Works great for me !
