Finally got a chance to get to the range to shoot my 111 trophy hunter in .308 winchester.....all I can say is WOW! 1.5 inch groups out of the box at 25 yards. Granted it was close but I was at an indoor range, can't wait to shoot it at 100 and 200 yards, but that will have to wait til it warms up some here as it's currently 18 degrees out! Al in all very impressed with this rifle, very little felt recoil and super accurate. The hogs I will be hunting this summer are in trouble :)
That's not good at all for 25 yds.
At 100 you will have a 6 inch group.
Sorry to be a wet sponge, that is pretty grim. More like an AK
"Hey! I think I hit something on the animal I was generally aiming at!" Not typically what most brag about...
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
I think you can do much better than that with that rifle.. Practice, Practice, Practice!!!
Try for 1 inch groups at 100 yds.
MOP
Minute Of Pig.
Its my new accuracy standard for sure.
Try a couple brands of ammo and see how she shoots. There should be one that will get you 1" @ 100 yards. If not, then think about reloading for it. Your 111 should be a very capable rifle.
