Every gun is different (just like women) so pull out your stash of 223 ammo and go find out. Sometimes it a long trail to ride, sometimes its a run down to the corner store.
Just ordered a trophy varmit .223. Anyone find an accurate factory load?

What kind of shooting do You want to do? If I wanted to test the accuracy of a new rifle, without reloading, I would grab a box of Federal Gold Medal Match. It is known as a standard for accuracy in most rifles.
But to answer questions like this by suggesting a match/target bullet is inappropriate for a hunter.
So, is it holes in paper, or ethical kills on game?
I don't reload either . Start with some federal and hornaday rounds . All my savages eat them up

Thanks for the help all. I do plan to experiment.
It just isn't brands. It can be pill size, type, etc. The combinations are numerous. Black Hills and Australian Outback are decently priced and consistent.
The Hornady 68 grain hpbt were very good in my 11. 5 rounds in a dime at 100 yards. All the cheaper stuff was inconsistent one good group and the next 2 inches.
FGMM is guaranteed to be very accurate, but once in a while you can get the very cheap ammo to shoot bugholes too. You won't know till you try.
