I wanted to save powder and have something different, so I went with the 6.5 Grendel. Building a Sweed and having a 25/06 already covers a lot of territory. All of the chamberings mentioned are very interesting, but adding any of them will cost You more in powder and dies, just to use up some extra 25/06 cases. "Not that there's anything wrong with that :-))".

I don't have an opportunity to shoot over 300yds, so all My long action chamberings are over kill. Those barrels stay pretty much in the corner of the closet these days. A lot depends on what kind of shooting You intend to do.

I have struggled with Your decision many times, and lack of need and cost of dies has caused Me to live with what I have, which is already way more than I need.
