Model 99 250-3000 with a 410 barrel??

So I was talking to a guy in general about the 250 and he told me his Dad has one and someone made up a 410 shot gun barrel that could be spun on,I was just curious as to whether this is even possible or has anyone heard of this.

It was a factory option combo, I know it came in a takedown .300 Sav/.410 combo. So it's possible for a .250/.410 combo. It's single shot only with the shotgun barrel.

OK that makes sense with the take down version and now that you say single shot for the 410 I get it,is that something that is collectable/rare

They were only made from 1922-1934, and when it was discontinued the cased match set cost $81.95. A .410 barrel could also be refit at the factory to any takedown model, any caliber. An original cased set can go upwards of $4000 today, depending on condition, of course. http://www.gunbroker.com/item/611066723
