I've got a 110 bolt action 270 Win that I bought from a private party. The guy I bought it from had no idea the year of the gun. I've searched every where for a list or something telling me so if anyone can help plz do so. Thanks

Hello.... just joined this forum- and not trying to steal the thread but it seems like that link answered the original posters question. So rather than create a new thread- I'll try this here (and hope I don't make any one mad). I recently got (over paid from a guy with a sad story about needing money) a Savage 110 rifle in 270. It was made in Chicopee Falls, only has a 4 number serial 51#%.. The barrel has a weird ring around it a few inches from the chamber with the top ground smooth. Also, the bolt face is different than any of my other savages... with a slot in the bottom that retracts and hits a spring loaded tab when the bolt is pulled all the way back. Just wondering if anyone has the story on these. On the barrel it is stamper (sp) and one other stamping- that is not legible. I would guess it is old(1950s)- except the action and barrel look really good- and it came with a cheap synthetic stock. Thanks (and if I need to move this let me know)
"F" prefix with a serial number lower than F498821 = 1989 thru Nov. 1st, 1995
"F" prefix with a serial number higher than F498821 = Nov. 1st, 1995 through the end of 2002
So F43.....1989 to 1995
Is the savage website no longer providing time/date for serials?? Down at the moment....

Wow the $200 Axis I rescued from a local pawn shop is 2014 or 2015.
Actually, that same information is in the Additional Notes on the same page you linked to in our FAQ's in your previous post.
Interesting... The January numbers for each year match up with what I have, but the December numbers do not. Don't really see the need for the December numbers so I'd recommend just focusing on the starting number for each year to determine the DOM of a given rifle.
