    conversion from .223 to 300wm

    Hello all

I have a 110 fp tactical in .223 and would like to install a 300wm barrel.

would I only need to change the bolt head or should I change the whole thing?

any help would be appreciated conversion

Bolt Head-Firing Pin-Magazine Box and Follower/Spring. If your bolt has the extended baffle,it would also need to be swapped out.

The bottom of the action also needs to be milled out for long action. And, you may need to change the stock if it is set up for short action. I don't know how the FP are set up.

I could just get a new bolt for the 300wm and keep the current one for my .223 right?

it is already a long action so I would just need to change the magazine

Probably not. But if you repeat it 3 times you wont have to address it until you find out your magazines don't fit.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

    conversion from .223 to 300wm

There were 2 110 actions cut. The bottom was milled for 308, and 30-06 length cartridges. So if you do have a 223 that may be something to look at first. Can't find the picture of the actions but this should still get the idea across.
