We will see how pleased you are after your trip to the range. Savage soldered the scope bases on during a very low point in Savage history where quality took a back seat to production costs.
I recently bought a clean old model 110 30-06. Something to play with different calibers and tinker with. This morning I was looking it over and was changing out the scope. I thought I would check and make sure the bases were tight. The bases were part of the receiver, I had never seen that before with a Savage. The serial # F 06xxxx, anyway I was surprised and pleased.
