Savage 110 HS Precision 28 Nosler build

I've been a long time fan of Savages, mostly for their 'shadetree gunsmith' modification ability. On this one, I did have Phoenix custom Rifles do the barrel work and Cerakote, but I did the stock work, stock paint, and made the bolt knob myself.
I covered some aspects of the build including some 'how to' info on installing KMW loggerhead cheek hardware and put them all in one album.

Brux 8 twist 27" barrel. PCR has a custom reamer that allows the 195 Bergers to be loaded at 3.61. Advantage to this is a little extra case capacity, I don't have to be married to that bullet, and I don't have to run a one-off extended mag bottom metal.
    APA Fat Bastard brake
    EGW HD steel 20MOA base
Rifle Basix SAV-2 trigger(not a fan but I can't find and SSS comp trigger anywhere)
CDI bottom metal and AICS mags
    LRA light tactical bipod
    KMW loggerhead cheek hardware
    Choate modified adjustable butt piece
    My own bolt knob

Your documentation of the stock work is almost unrivaled. Regrettably your link does not work. Aaaaaand since I keep a link to it......

Thanks. Hoping to put a few rounds through it tomorrow. Got Berger 195s over retumbo in .5gr increments from 78 to 80.5. Ideally, I'm not expecting to see pressure at even 80.5 given the 3.61COAL, and I'm hoping to see over 3,000fps along with sub half moa accuracy.

I hear all the time how guys have their barrel throated for this or that particular bullet. What happens when it won't shoot that bullet for crap? I've been shooting /reloading long enough to know things don't always go as planned, too many variables. Cool looking rig, hope it exceeds your expectations and puts 'em all in one hole.

It's not very often that a picture post gets moved to the My Build Thread Forum, but this one is worthy.......
    Thanks for sharing!

Totally agree, which is why I only went .15x" over Saami spec. There are guys running .3xx over and tattooed specifically to the 195 Berger. The rounds end up being almost 4 inches long, and they are married to that bullet.
I can still run just about any bullet over 160 grains.

The 28 NOS shoots! These are just ocw work up loads that I didn't account for wind on. Still under 1/2moa windage and 1/8moa vertical!
Got a node between 79 and 79.5 and looks like I was coming back into a node at 80.5 but was starting to see very slight extractor marks. I think I can go to 81 grains and still be safe.
