    Reclaiming brass

I had a 284 win that i still had loaded and sold the barrel but kept live rounds. Sk i just put together a 6.5 284 and decided to oul bullets and reuse the brass but here is the situation i have 27 pcs of norma brass with live primers now so i will fl size them with the new 6.5 dies but brass stretched and needs trimmed what is the best way to get rid of live primers tried firing them in another barrel just to spend the primers but wont fit correctely so no what??

Yep push them out. Remember that impact sets them off not pressure so be firm but gentle.

I use a universal depriming die to slowly push the primer out of the case. This die is wide open along the sides of the case to vent any pressure "if" anything happens.

I have been reloading for over 46 years and never had a primer go off by "slowly" pushing it out of the case using my press.

If it was a crimped and sealed primer in military brass I would not try to push the primer out.
