Ok guys, so I went to Midway and ordered a bolthead, when I got it I noticed it doesn't have the locator slot machined in it and will not go fully into the bolt body. What am I missing here?

You're not missing anything, you're toting a little extra. File off the locator from the bolt body and carry on.....
