I'd go with the primary arms r-grid reticle. I have the 4-14 mil reticle. Couldn't be happier for the price

I'm about to purchase a scope and I'm looking mostly at the Athlon Talos 4-14 and the Primary Arms 4-14 HUD reticle. Both are FFP and within my budget. Anyone have any experience with either of these optics?

PA has a few loyal proselytes here, me being one of them. I'd like to see more firsthand experience with Athlon scopes. In my mind, they've got to be very similar, but only experience will show.
Well, nuts to the unknown. I think I said I was going to get an Argos a few months ago, so I ordered a 6-24x50mm. I won't be able to do a side-by-side comparison with my PA 4-14x44mm, but I will compare it to my Vortex Viper PST FFP. Sadly it looks like there is at least a couple weeks of waiting until the vendor ships it.
I ordered the Talos BTR. I have a friend with the PA. We'll see how they compare.

I don't use anything but the standard Mil dot reticle, but love my PA's.
Been using them to a mile for a couple years now. We took a group out for some side X side comparisons, which I think I even posted here but can't recall.
Anyhow, the PA flat embarassed the 3-15 SWFA for CA and clarity, and that pig is $750!!
Not home currently, but that PA has over 2,000 rounds of creedmoor under it's belt. On another board there is a gent who has been using it on his 300WM for several years now.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
Midway has an exclusive BSA 6-24x FFP for $299.99 that looks interesting as well.
I know Midway has a BSA 4-14x44mm FFP that looks a lot like the PA and Athlon. I don't see the 6-24 FFP.
