a few .308 ???

so ive been reloading for my M1A SOCOM and it really likes Sierra 165gr HPBT, which seem to be out of stock when i tried to order some...what would be a good bullet for hunting med to large game with good penetration and expansion that would be close to the Sierra 165s.??

i also got around to buying an optic for my new 10PC, so im going to need to find out what that gun likes..from what ive read some say that the 168gr bullets seem to be accurate...but others have good results with lighter bullets..?? im hoping i can use the same bullets to reload for both rifles...so far ive only been able to shoot some 150 win. and not very much...i barley have the scope zeroed...any suggestions would be appreciated..
