and 390 rounds through the krieger...6mm speeds with a 24" barrel and a 130g berger hybrid...if this barrel lasts 2000 rounds im done thinking about a 6mm LOL....17MOA is dead nuts at 850yds with the 43.7g load and only 1MOA of drift in a 5mph 3 oclock wind...17.5MOA at 850yds and 1.25-1.5MOA of drift in the same wind with the 43.1g load...

Looks good LR! Rifle looks awesome! Id stick with that too if you can keep that many rounds.
You probably need another caliber to add to the mix.....shooting the 260 doesnt keep you very busy. 😉

Glad it's running well. My scores have been much more consistent sense switching the the McMillan A5 as well. I just pulled my rifle apart and dropped my M5 in the mail to LRI for coating. Should see it back late next week if everything goes as planned.
im betting my scores will improve as well...i shot 45 rounds sunday and was shooting in some of the odd positions i find myself in at the matches(self inflected)and only had 1 miss at 850 and 1 at 550...im also working on using the reticle more...i dialed at 425 and held low for 330 and high for 550 and had no misses at those distances.
in this short range match im going to dial for 200 and hold low at 100 and high at 300 so that will knock a little time off...i can get the 15 rounds off in 60 seconds starting with the mag in and at one distance whats going to get me is starting with mag in hand,shooting 3 distances and the mag swap.
Yep, a trainer rifle may not be the economical thing to do lol....
Guys...is it just easier to shoot off of those stocks? Let me make sure Ive got the story right first....you all are going from your chassis to the McMillan correct?

That's correct. I find the stock to be much more forgiving than my Chassis was.
Ok just making sure. I remember reading from several of you all it took some time to get the chassis adjusted just right. I dont have one....however I love the way they look. Are they just more hastle than they're worth or....just not good for shooting your type of matches?

I think it's a personal thing. I found myself fighting with the Chassis trying to gain consistency in how I was shooting. Some days I'd be dead on and others I'd be fighting with it the whole time. Rifle groups the same either way, but I find the stock to be more comfortable in a larger array of shooting scenarios.
this right here^^^the stock is WAY better balanced and WAY easier to get into positions with and the big plus is my rig is just a little bit lighter but because its better balanced it feels much lighter than it really is...the tan barrel and action is driving me crazy though LOL!!
I have not shot with many chassis, but when I shoot prone with the pistol grips I have a tendency to torque the handle. It is inconsistent and can be maddening so I have always stuck with a traditional stock.
